"To Cradle Hope" is a poem of thanksgiving for those who are hopeful; those who are optimistic, empathetic, and kind, and those who are always looking for the good in others and bringing light into our world.
To Cradle Hope
A gift, the one who carries hope
who cradles hope
as a shepherd bears a lamb
as a child shares a toy
as a lover knows the beloved
Wrong, somehow, to think a burden
a heavy load, sometimes, nonetheless
to possess that something
that somebody seeks so desperately
and on some days, needs so keenly
